Definitely. Plant selection is Henry's happy place. With a degree in plant science and a particular interest in plant physiology and soil science, he's been known to get a little carried away talking about plants (don't say we didn't warn you). He'll help you choose the right plants for your soil, microclimate and lifestyle, then make sure they're planted properly so they'll thrive for years to come.
Can you source the materials?
Absolutely. Sam has a degree in product and 3D design and enjoys researching, comparing and selecting materials that are practical, durable and suited to your project. We can source everything from gravel and pavers to timber and screws. We're also more than happy to work with materials you've already chosen or supplied, such as cladding or panelling.
What's the difference between hard landscaping and soft landscaping?
Hard landscaping is everything we build, like paths, paving, retaining walls and raised garden beds. Soft landscaping is everything we plant, from lawns and trees to shrubs, flowers and vegetables. The best gardens combine both to create an outdoor space that's enjoyable to use and easy to maintain.
Can you design a garden around pets, children, disabilities or mobility issues?
Absolutely. Every garden should be designed around the people who use it. Whether you need wider paths, raised garden beds, safer surfaces, pet-friendly plants or spaces designed with accessibility in mind, we'll work with you to create a garden that suits your lifestyle and the people who use it.
Will landscaping add value to my home?
It can, but we think the real value comes long before you decide to sell. A well-designed garden gives you a place to relax, entertain, grow food or simply enjoy spending time outdoors. If it also adds value to your property, that's a nice bonus. We're designing an outdoor space for you to enjoy, not the next owner!
Do you work on commercial landscaping or garden design projects?
Yes. We work with both residential and commercial clients, including cafés, offices, retail spaces, accommodation providers, strata and body corporate properties, campgrounds and other commercial sites. We can help with practical garden design, landscaping, planting, irrigation, pathways, screening and low-maintenance outdoor spaces. Do I need to be home while work on my garden?
Not at all. If we have access to the property, we're happy to complete the work while you're away. Of course, if you'd prefer to be home, we're always happy to have you there too.
Will the same people come every visit?
Yes. We're a couple who love hard work just as much as we love each other, so the same people who quote your job are the same people who'll be working on your garden. Henry AKA Mr. Muscles and Sam AKA Mrs. Muscles will be the ones answering your call, knocking on your door and building your paths and adding plants to your garden. Waffles (our dog) will often supervise, with your permission, and for larger jobs we have a team of hired muscle who can help us!
Do you have a Working with Vulnerable People check and/or police checks?
Yes. We understand that inviting someone onto your property requires trust and trust is earned. Both Mr. & Mrs. Muscles hold current Working with Vulnerable People cards and have clear police history checks, these can easily be supplied upon request. We're committed to providing a professional, respectful and trustworthy service, giving you the confidence you need when we're working around your home, children or vulnerable people.
Are you insured?
Yes. Mr. & Mrs. Muscles is fully insured with public liability insurance up to $20 million dollars in cover, giving you peace of mind while we work on your property.
