Lawn Mowing
in Launceston

Map of Launceston, Tasmania. Including Launceston, the Tamar Valley Region, Northern Midlands & Surrounds

Professional lawn mowing for homes, lifestyle properties and Airbnb accommodation throughout Launceston, the Tamar Valley and Northern Midlands. Whether you need regular lawn maintenance or a one-off mow, we'll help keep your lawn looking its best all year round.

Green Grass Field

A well-maintained lawn makes all the difference.

A well-maintained lawn isn't just about looking great. It's Saturday afternoons spent playing backyard cricket instead of pushing the mower. It's walking barefoot through the grass without worrying about bindiis. It's watching the dog tear laps around the yard while you enjoy your morning coffee, because for once, your lawn isn't asking anything of you.

That's what regular lawn maintenance gives you—more time to enjoy your home and less time maintaining it.

Leave the lawn maintenance to us, so you can get back to enjoying your home.

Lush Green Hills

Green Waste
Removal

No tip runs. No trailer. No pile sitting in the corner for the next three weeks. We'll remove the clippings and green waste so there's nothing left for you to do. Perfect for clean-ups, pruning and seasonal maintenance.

Edge
Trimming

A freshly mown lawn never quite looks finished without crisp, clean edges. It's the little details that make the biggest difference. Perfect around driveways, paths, garden beds and fences.

Lawn Care &
Fertilisation

Not every lawn starts in perfect condition. Whether it's patchy, neglected or long overdue for a trim, we'll bring it back to life or get it under control. Ideal for overgrown lawns or neglected maintenance.

Nature Strip
Lawn Mowing

The first thing people see shouldn't be the last thing on your to-do list. We'll keep your nature strip neat, tidy and well maintained. Perfect for homeowners wanting great street appeal.

Lawn Mowing

For the lawns that never seem to stop growing and the weekends that disappear because of them. Perfect for busy homeowners, retirees, Airbnb properties and anyone wanting year-round maintenance.

Large Property & Acreage Mowing

Large blocks are wonderful to own, but not always to mow. We'll cover more ground in less time with the right equipment for the job. Perfect for acreage, hobby farms and lifestyle properties.

Sometimes life gets busy. Sometimes the lawn gets away from you. We'll get things back under control. Ideal before inspections, open homes, events or whenever life gets in the way.

Lawn Mowing Services

Which lawn mowing service is right for you?

You want one less thing to worry about.

If you're tired of mowing the lawn every second weekend, regular lawn mowing keeps everything looking its best year-round. Ideal for busy homeowners, retirees and anyone who'd rather spend their weekends enjoying their property than maintaining it.

Your lawn has gotten away from you.

Life gets busy. You get sick or busy, and your lawn just keeps growing. Before you know it, the grass is knee-high, and you've been avoiding looking out the window. A one-off lawn mowing service gets everything back under control, with the option to move onto regular maintenance if you'd like.

Your property is bigger than most.

Larger residential blocks, lifestyle properties and hobby farms take time to maintain. Our ride-on mower allows us to cover more ground efficiently, making regular lawn maintenance practical without sacrificing an entire weekend.

What does a lawn mowing service include?

A good lawn mowing service is about more than simply cutting the grass.

A good lawn mowing service is about taking care of the details, so your property feels looked after from the moment we arrive to the moment we leave.

Every visit starts with a quick assessment of the condition of your lawn. We'll mow using the most appropriate equipment, then trim around fences, trees, garden beds, paths, and anywhere the mower can't quite reach.

Once the lawn mowing is complete, we'll finish the edge trimming, then blow all the grass clippings from driveways, footpaths and outdoor areas, leaving everything clean and tidy. If you've requested green waste removal, we'll collect and remove the clippings before we leave, so there's nothing left for you to finish after we've gone.

We don't believe a lawn mowing service ends when the mower stops. It ends when you can step outside, look around and feel like everything's been taken care of.

Because the best part isn't a freshly mown lawn, it's walking outside and realising there's nothing left waiting for you.

We don't believe a lawn mowing service ends when the mower stops. It ends when you step outside and there's nothing left to be done.

The cost of lawn mowing depends on far more than the size of your lawn.

Things like how long the grass is, whether edging is required, how accessible the property is and whether you'd like green waste removed can all affect the time it takes to complete the job.

Regular lawn mowing is often quicker than tackling an overgrown lawn, as less grass needs to be removed and the lawn is easier to maintain from one visit to the next.

For larger residential blocks, acreage and lifestyle properties, we'll assess your property and provide a fixed quote before any work begins, so you know exactly what to expect.

Every property is different, which is why we prefer providing honest, tailored quotes rather than one-size-fits-all pricing.

Winter is when your lawn gets a chance to rest. Growth slows right down, so frequent mowing usually isn't necessary. It's also best to avoid mowing when the ground is waterlogged or frosty, as this can damage both the grass and compact the soil beneath it.

Winter

Spring is when lawns really take off. With warmer temperatures and plenty of rain, it's easy for a lawn to get away from you after just a week or two. Keeping on top of it during spring means each mow stays quick, manageable and less stressful on the grass.

Summer depends entirely on the weather. A wet Tasmanian summer may still have you mowing every week, while a hot, dry spell can slow growth considerably. One mistake many people make is cutting the grass too short—slightly longer grass helps shade the soil, retain moisture and better cope with the summer heat.

As the weather cools, grass growth begins to slow. Most lawns won't need mowing as often, but regular maintenance is still worthwhile to prevent leaves and longer grass trapping moisture, which can encourage disease and fungal problems.

How often should I mow my lawn?

Annoyingly, there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. Your lawn doesn't grow the same amount every day—it grows according to the weather. A warm, wet Tasmanian spring can see your lawn growing much faster than in the middle of winter, which is why the ideal mowing schedule changes throughout the year. Rather than sticking to a rigid calendar-based schedule, we recommend adjusting your lawn mowing frequency to suit the seasons, rainfall and local climate. Below, we've put together a comprehensive guide to help you stay on top of things all year.

Why Choose Mr. & Mrs. Muscles?

Lawn mowing is what we do. Giving you one less thing to think about is why we do it.

Life has a way of filling weekends with jobs that never seem to end.

We know how quickly life gets busy. Work, kids, family, holidays and everything else that moves mowing the lawn further down the list. Before long, the grass is up to your knees, the edges start reclaiming the driveway, and another weekend disappears behind a mower.

That's where we come in.

We'll show up when we say we will, treat your property with care and leave it looking like one less thing you have to think about.

Because that's what we're really here for.
Not just a freshly mown lawn.

A little more time to enjoy the place you've worked so hard for.

FAQ

How much does lawn mowing cost?

Every property is different, so we provide fixed quotes based on your lawn size, access, grass height and any additional services you'd like completed. That means you only pay for the work your property actually requires.

Do you remove the grass clippings?

Yes, if you've requested Green Waste Removal as part of your service. Otherwise, where appropriate, small clippings may be left on the lawn to naturally break down and return nutrients to the soil. We'll always discuss the best option for your property beforehand.

What if my lawn isn't level or has steep slopes?

Here in Tasmania we are blessed with beautiful rolling hills and endless mountain ranges, but that means our lawns aren't always level. If you're unsure about your yard, we're more than happy to conduct a site visit to assess the suitability of your lawn. We will provide a no obligation quote and recommend the safest option.

Do you mow commercial properties?

We primarily specialise in residential properties, lifestyle properties, small acreage, Airbnb accommodation, investment properties and rental properties. However, we do also take on work for holiday accommodation, real estate agencies, small offices, medical practices, cafès, childcare centres, churches, body corporate/common areas and small retail shops. If you're unsure whether your property is suitable, feel free to get in touch.

Does it cost more if my lawn is overgrown?

Sometimes. An overgrown lawn often takes longer to mow, requires more green waste removal and may need additional work to get it back under control. The good news is that once your lawn has been restored, regular maintenance is usually quicker, easier and more affordable. We'll always provide a fixed quote before any work begins, so you'll know exactly what to expect.

Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?

A quick tidy-up always helps. If possible, remove toys, hoses, pet bowls, wire or any other loose items from the lawn before we arrive. This helps us mow more efficiently and reduces the risk of injury to us or damage to your belongings. If there is anything unusual you'd like us to know about your property, just let us know beforehand. Things like pipes or irrigation above ground level, or small plants or seedlings you'd like us to avoid.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain doesn't always stop us from working. If conditions are safe and won't compromise the quality of the job or damage your lawn, we'll often continue as planned. If the ground is too wet or conditions aren't suitable, we'll simply reschedule your visit for the next available day.

Can lawn mowing be combined with other services?

Absolutely. Many of our clients combine lawn mowing with garden maintenance, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, pressure washing, green waste removal or general property maintenance to keep everything looking its best year-round.

Do you mow large blocks and lifestyle properties?

Yes. We regularly mow larger residential blocks, acreage and lifestyle properties throughout the Tamar Valley region. Whether you have a spacious backyard or several acres to maintain, we'll tailor a mowing plan to suit your property. Our ride-on mower allows us to maintain larger properties efficiently while delivering a neat, consistent finish.

Do I need to be home while you mow my lawn?

Not at all. As long as we have access to the areas that need mowing and any pets are safely secured, you don't need to be home. Many of our regular clients are at work while we visit, returning home to a freshly mown lawn without having to worry about a thing. You are also more than welcome to be home while we work, it is your home after all!

Will the same people come every visit?

Yes. We're a couple who love hard work just as much as we love each other, so the same people who quote your job are the same people who'll be mowing your lawn or tidying your edges. Henry AKA Mr. Muscles and Sam AKA Mrs. Muscles will be the ones answering your call, knocking on your door, and mowing your lawn. Waffles (our dog) will often supervise, with your permission of course, and for larger jobs, we have a team of hired muscle who can help us!

Do you have a Working with Vulnerable People check and/or police checks?

Yes. We understand that inviting someone onto your property requires trust and trust is earned. Both Mr. & Mrs. Muscles hold current Working with Vulnerable People cards and have clear police history checks, these can easily be supplied upon request. We're committed to providing a professional, respectful and trustworthy service, giving you the confidence you need when we're working around your home, children or vulnerable people.

Are you insured?

Yes. Mr. & Mrs. Muscles is fully insured with public liability insurance up to $20 million dollars in cover, giving you peace of mind while we work on your property.

How do I get a quote?

You can call or text us on 0401 298 918, and we'll do our best to respond! Sometimes we might be mowing someone's lawn and might not hear the phone ring, so you can always email us at hello@mrandmrsmuscles.com.au or submit an online quote form through our website.
